Shimmering Waters

This playful tune reminds me of the beautiful cascades of water we have seen when hiking in the Colorado Rockies. The water seems to laugh with joy as it splashes over the rocks amidst banks covered with wildflowers and green grass. Its stray drops sparkle in the warm sunshine and bring a smile to the lips of those who pass by along the mountain path. As I sat at my harp one day playing this tune I asked my daughter, who was Grammar School age at the time, what I should call this tune? She immediately said, “Shimmering Waters”. And so it is.
